Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head

Perfection. This property was perfect for our last few days visiting the Islands. We hiked Diamond Head, snorkeled, borrowed bikes to eat brunch at a favorite local restaurant, and enjoyed all of the amenities. We took advantage of the beach towels and beach chairs from the front desk. The in-room espresso makers and reusable water bottles were a lovely perk. We even played in the game room! Our room was clean and very comfortable. We loved the huge sliding doors that led to the balcony. Speaking of the balcony; what a view! We had a view of the ocean and of Diamond Head!

We have stayed at the Lotus a number of times. It is located off to the side of Waikiki between the zoo and Diamond head, just minutes away from the heart of Waikiki. This is a quieter area with easy beach access. Rooms are spacious enough for two and the bathroom is clean and modern. Coffee, refrigerator, and safe are provided. One of the best amenities is the free laundry facility.

Fitness Center, Great Location

I little run down. Bathrooms could use some updating (mainly the bathtubs), the handles on the slider doors are almost a hazard, and I wish the bed was a little more comfortable.

Lotus is a small hotel with lovely rooms - with balcony views of Diamond Head and an ocean breeze. Service was great, and everything was very smooth. I liked the location (next to the park and near Diamond Head) which was much quieter than Waikiki-proper. It was about a 15 minute walk to get to Waikiki and all the shops and restaurants there. The Arden restaurant was superb, but beware that it's not open every day and only serves dinner, so you need to go a bit further afield for breakfast and lunches.

This hotel is excellent. Has it all: Location - amazing views of Diamond Head and the ocean, wonderful park next door, away from the hustle of Waikiki, but easy walk to the action. Amenities - parking, easy beach access, excellent coffee in room, beach chairs and towels, bikes, a nice gym, a "living room" with video simulation games which we didn't get to try but definitely will next time, pickle ball paddles, on site restaurant, on site massage. Staff - The staff is why you will want to return again and again. Everyone at the front desk is wonderful. Love all of them...Ella, Yoobi, Rhian, Nikki and Katie. By the time you leave, you will be sad to say goodbye to these new friends! Next time we visit, which hopefully will be very soon, I know it will feel like coming home to dear old friends.

We liked the quiet location, close to a small beach and within walking distance of the main shopping and dining areas.

Cleanliness

The hallway tiling is not super clean! It has some dirty spots

The location was really peaceful and great to be in a smaller hotel, nice beach right nearby, restaurant and their staff were amazing, lovely young guy who cleaned my room one day was super helpful and friendly and respectful. Eco friendly.

The room cards were old ( this is what staff said ) and they didn't always work so had to take to reception a couple of times, bed was a bit saggy on one side, walls are a bit thin and last two nights could hear the person in neighbouring room snoring, lift is not super fast!

I would definitely choose to stay here again if I am in the Waikiki area. It is a beautiful hotel on the far eastern end of Waikiki and away from the craziness (and higher cost). There is beach access nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable and ours had a balcony with views of Diamond Head and the beach. Diamond Head State Park is in walking or jogging distance of the hotel and you'll see plenty making the morning trek just outside the hotel.
