Hotel Far Hills

The picture that is on the site is not what you get once there . The owner charge me a day any way... Please don't go there .. oold house trying to change in a lodge but not nice

Beautiful setting. Very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of nature connecting activities in walking distance.

Le cadre est superbe et vraiment calme. Le personnel excellent! Chambre propre et rénovée au goût du jour. Dommage que la vue sur la montagne vendue par expédia soit finalement une vue sur la route et les terrains de tennis…

Kind and great service.

We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful hotel! Super quite, access to private beach, outdoor and indoor fire place! The manager and assistant manager were the most helpful and friendly people! Will definitely go back!

The lodge is a really nice place to stay. The formula with all the activities included and the ability to cook for yourself in the kitchen allows for a lot of freedom and a very economical stay. They are a lot of things to do from enjoying the lake, it's small beach and all the water activities, to the many hikes of the park across the street, to the tennis court and garden. The staff was really helpful in finding us a restaurant on a late Friday evening, finding a table for us on the deck, putting together a camp fire at night, ... The one very negative aspect of the stay was the breakfast. It was supposed to be included as a continental breakfast, but due to covid, they decided to distribute a boxed breakfast which included nothing but a few sugary snacks for kids, not a real breakfast at all. When we complained about it, they didn't seem to care. It seems management made an executive decision to downgrade service to the bare minimum without even thinking about putting in place a boxed breakfast that would actually feed grown adults. It left a sour note on an otherwise very good stay.

The place, and hosts, were lovely and made us feel welcome. It is a casual atmosphere where we can use the amenities, including kitchen and BBQ, as needed. The boxed breakfast was good (continental), but I think that a little imagination could greatly reduce the amount of packaging and plastic used.

This place is a gem! I highly recommend this lodge. I had a great weekend. Hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, cooking, relaxing. Note that it’s kind of like an hostel. Bring your food You can even BBQ on site. Also the place was very clean!!

The cedar lodge is very basic with no frills. Not even rug on floor in bedroom. There are no bar facilities or restuarant. Food has to be brought in by yourself. Being remote this gives limited options. The only thing that saves the place is the staff who do their best to help you.
