Location was great! Loved the historical nostalgia!

The mattress was too soft- air conditioning was not cooling and the noise from the air conditioners outside our room was extremely loud=no sleep

Location in heart of Placerville

1. My room was facing Main Street w constant traffic and light. I ended up covering window w blanket and finally got to sleep. 2. They charged me $10 for parking PLUS a $2.00 credit card fee without telling me it would be charged (I only noticed it on the emailed folio) after the fact. The girl at the front desk was new, so I understand. However, any additional charges beyond the original reservation charge should ALWAYS be explained. And it was a city lot, so not sure why/how they can charge for parking.

There's not much I didn't like. Would have been nice to have a small bedside table lamp but no big deal.

Historical Hotel with character, Located right on the main street close to restaurants and bars. I left with an unforgettable experience, Some would say an unpleasant experience, When at 3 am a "ghost" entered my bed and hugged me, I woke up and turned on the lights, No one was in my bed, but from that moment I couldn't go back to sleep, nice for those who like it :)

Not recommended for those who don't like encounters with ghosts
