First Cabin Kyoto Nijojo

I can’t believe what I got for the price. I stayed at a horrible capsule hotel in Tokyo so I was accepting something similar but this place was amazing. I just got here but I can tell the location is perfect, close to the train and attractions. I wish every hotel was like this

Dryers don't function well. Took literally 30 hours to complete my laundry, it destroyed some of my white clothes due to oversteaming, and after 14 hours they still weren't dry and needed to be hung overnight. Not even the staff could dry them properly and it ruined some new clothes I had just bought here.

The capsule hotel was such a fun experience, everything was nice and clean, it was super quiet at night. Loved the shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom! They were also very accomodating when I arrived early. My only complaint has to do with the location—kind of a far walk to the trains and the neighborhood is more residential and not very exciting so you kind of feel far removed.

I really like my first few days of stay here at First Cabin. I thought that the snacks and Yalkult were a nice touch! Unfortunately, on the last few days, I couldn’t sleep due to the constant noises of people around me packing/unpacking as late as 11 pm and early as 6:30 am. Therefore, I didn’t really get a goodnight’s rest. I would advice the hotel to just let the customers know that they shouldn’t be making noises in the cabin halls during late at night or early morning when people are sleeping.

Very clean. Three levels of rooms. The pods are fine and the size didn’t bother me. The mattresses were very firm though.

Right next to Nijo Castle, close to bus and metro stops. The shared areas were cleaner than we expected. The beds were comfortable, and the ventilation worked well. The shared area had a microwave, coffee, tea, and snacks available. They provide everything you need for hygiene, including pajamas. We had two fantastic nights. Thank you.

アメニティーも充実していたしシャワーの出もバッチリです。 すごく清潔でいつも利用させてもらってます 機会があればまた行きたいです。

We were so blown away by the First Cabin. Our first cabin hostel experience and that too after a good 10 days of hopping about in Japan. We reached past evening but the staff was so helpful, they checked us in immediately. The cabins are quiet, beautiful, spacious and feels luxury. For the business cabins its absolutely worth spending that little extra bit, they even have a TV in every cabin. The onsens are the most intriguing part after the array of toiletries for guests. The common space is well crafted, spacious and we met some crazy Canadian rockers during our stay. Sparkling wine in the morning, with a cute cafe right outside if you wanna grab a quick breakfast. The location is perfect, right outside the Nijo castle. You can take buses from the major crossing out front. We loved our stay so much that we extended and moved to their gorgeous, huge suites upstairs. Worth every penny for a trendy place like this! Highly recommend!
