Halfway Hotel

Easy walking distance to emporium. Lots of other emporium visitors at the hotel. Comfortable beds. Clean bathroom with plenty of towels supplied. Good supply of tea and coffee in the room. Easy access to and from room via back door.

No plug near the kettle station so had to plug kettle in next to bed. Furniture very tatty and worn. Base of beds were grim, wardrobe felt unsteady, took ages for warm water to come through. Very noisy (didn't bother us as we were going to the same rave as the other noisy guests, but if you weren't raving with them it wouldn't have been a pleasant stay). Price was a bit steep considering the quality of the furnishings and overall facilities.

About the light bulb in the head bord is not working, I think its busted

The staff where kind and very friendly.

Knife on the floor of my room the terrible smell and screwdriver, The staff then let me change rooms and I then narrowly missed a bar fight downstairs in which a local punched a customer who is staying at the hotel with me for the same work trip (there was no previous communication between the gentleman and his assailant) who then used the snooker qué he was using to defend himself. Apparently this is normal behaviour in the area tho.

All good no complaints

Staff efficient. Good sized room.

Unable to speak to staff when we needed them. The shower was too hot, then freezing. Beds uncomfortable. The room looked like it had not been checked properly. There were food crumbs on the floor, cobwebs on surfaces. 2 glasses and 3 mugs for 4 people staying in the room.

Good place

Easy to find with a good size parking area. Clean

Can’t think of any downside.
