Tout était parfait

Nice location for a relaxing weekend, very close to the national park. The owners are really kind and welcoming , they gave us some advice for things to see, activities to do in the area. The breakfast was delicious.

Excellent petit déjeuner, complet avec tous les groupes alimentaires. Le café était excellent même si l’aubergiste ne tient pas de crème.

Selon moi et selon ma réservation reçue de Booking, que j’avais téléchargé sur mon cellulaire, j’avais réservé pour 2 personnes. Par contre selon les données de l’aubergiste j’avais réservé pour 1 personne seulement. Il y avait contradiction. J’ai donc dû débourser 20$ en supplémentaire.

Le déjeuner était excellent et l'emplacement était idéal (proche du parc national du mont megantic).

Il n'y avait pas une bonne insonorisation, nous avons entendu nos voisins de chambre parler tard le soir et cracher très tôt le matin, et cela nous a réveillé. De plus, nous étions gênés de faire des demandes aux propriétaires car ils nous ont fait sentir qu'on dérangeait à certains moments. Nous ne retournerons pas à cet endroit.

My husband and I were so excited to spend our first anniversary somewhere special, and Domaine de la Giroux-ette exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and cared for. Our hosts, Line and Dennis, were incredibly kind and accommodating—even with our limited French, they made every effort to communicate and make us feel right at home. The breakfasts were nothing short of spectacular! Each morning was a culinary delight, blending sweet and savory flavors in such a thoughtful and beautifully presented way. On our first day, we enjoyed a ham, asparagus, and Swiss crepe alongside a chocolate and apple crepe, paired with an apple and Greek yogurt parfait. Line even included local maple syrup from her daughter’s farm—a lovely personal touch. Day two brought a delicious ham and Swiss French toast topped with fresh berries. And on our final morning, Line surprised us with matcha protein waffles and a pear parfait layered with her homemade marmalade, chocolate mousse, and pumpkin. Every bite was memorable. Our room was cozy and warm, equipped with heaters that kept us comfortable throughout our stay. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved the large bathtub. I took multiple baths and spent time reading in the tub after long hikes—it was pure relaxation. The rainfall-style shower had several settings and always had hot water, which made it equally enjoyable. Being only 11 minutes from Mont Mégantic, we were able to take advantage of the international dark sky and see the stars easily, based on the finicky weather conditions. The location was perfect for visiting the National Park and close enough (30 mins) from Lake Mégantic's microbreweries and restaurants. Every aspect of our stay was peaceful, relaxing, and full of small details that made it feel like a true escape. We’re so grateful to Line and Dennis for helping us create such a special memory for our anniversary. We can’t wait to come back!

Le déjeuner !! Succulent ! Jamais pareil d'un matin à l'autre, toujours savoureux et original. L'auberge est superbe, belle construction en bois rond. Propreté, espace dégagé rempli de détails décoratifs. La propriétaire est d'agréable compagnie, aime raconter l'histoire du coin et orienter notre séjour par des suggestions intéressantes. Ça ajoute une touche personnalisée au séjour !

Lit un peu trop mou. Mal insonorisé.... Pas de jeux de société ni autre divertissement, par jour pluvieux, ça manque.

Nous avons fait une halte d'une nuit dans ce charmant gîte. Line est très disponible pour nous partager son amour de son pays et de nous indiquer des lieux à visiter. Le petit déjeuner est bon.
