The room and facilities 10/10 for the money

Nyon Hostel is a modern property in a peaceful, lovely location. Most of the staff is very friendly and to some extent the cultural diversity of the guests is reflected in that of the staff, which makes it easier to find someone to explain things if you don't speak English, German or French. A spacious breakfast room, a nice chill room, relevant equipment in the dorm. The common kitchen allows guests to share food if they wish to avoid food waste.

Some guests were very disrespectful and noisy, in spite of attempts from staff to keep them in check. Blocking hallways in the evening while being rowdy, having parties and loud music in the dorms after 10 p.m. in spite of signs saying quiet was expected between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., it was tough for people really in need of their good night's rest. Unfortunately the shower for the disabled is not very practical. You can't easily put your clothes or toiletries anywhere while attempting to shower, unlike in the regular shower. Being large enough to accommodate a wheelchair and allowing the showerhead to be in your hand is not enough. Disability comes in many shapes. You don't have to be in a wheelchair to be disabled and in need of more accessibility.

Está perfectamente limpio, impoluto. La cama es muy cómoda, las habitaciones muy grandes. Los lockers se cierran y abren con la misma tarjeta con la que se abre la habitación, son lockers super grandes y tienen incluso enchufe dentro para dejar aparatos cargando. El desayuno es bueno y variado, en un amplio salón. El personal es super amable y atento. Las duchas son muy amplias y tienen un espacio para cambiarse y dejar las cosas, muy cómodo.

Lage sehr gut, Bushaltestelle vor Hotel

Frühstück bis „ nur“ 09.30 Uhr etwas früh, besser bis sicher 10.30 Uhr. Nicht sehr reichhaltig, Sonntags, ein Gipfeli oder Zopf wäre schön gewesen ( 1 Sorte Brot, Toast), kein Aufschnitt. Aber sonst gut.

Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker. Mein Mehrbetten-Zimmer war zum Glück fast unbelegt.

Die Lage ist zu weit weg vom See oder Bahnhof. Aber die Bus-Station ist gleich gegenüber des Hostels.

Agréablement surprise. Tout propre. Casier. Rideau au lit pour un peu d'intimité. Même le petit déjeuner compris dans le prix. Pas un grand choix mais l'essentiel.
