Faasai Resort & Spa

Wow! What an incredible place to stay...the atmosphere is lovely, my kids and I all loved it...the patio area of the room was spacious and pleasant and was the perfect place to enjoy our delicious dinners from the resort, my kids loved the animals - chickens and chicks, cats, dogs, getting to climb trees, and being surrounded by nature and beauty, while also having the convience of great food. The owner, Bronwen, went above and beyond. She took us on a tour of her neighboring farm, where there were cows, bees hives, and a beautiful meditation nook. And even gave my kids chalk so that they could make a hopscotch - that's a treat for my city kids. The resort is a treasure, and we will absolutely go back...not only because of the atmosphere, because of the warmth and the people.

The perfect laid-back place for long or short stays, solo or with family or a larger group. Laid back but attentive to detail, and offering everything you need to feel at home. Friendly and efficient staff. The owner, a remarkable person, is knowledgeable, joyful, and ever so helpful - you might just become fast friends! This is a place for immersion in Nature, in just-right accommodation with everything you need and none of the annoyingly superfluous, private bungalows surrounded by a happy mix of very biodiverse garden and patches of jungle, splendid tropical bird chorus, a great Bodhi tree for meditation... A pool on the premises and the beach five minutes' walk away. Faasai repeat customers would no doubt agree with me - this place has soul...

This resort is a little treasure - the nature there is amazing, and the staff do everything to make you happy. The tours that you can book are also very much worth going on - I particularly enjoyed the Kayak trip through the mangrove swamp, and the trip to Chantaburi. The location near a small beach is also convenient - and Chao Lao beach (a more beautiful beach) is only 15 minutes away by car. Don't forget to bring mosquito spray, and a mosquito net is also helpful - all windows have insect protection, but you still get the occasional intruder :). It was also great that I got a free upgrade to a bigger room (staying in my own bungalow).

I was the only guest for five days - so solo travellers should not rely on meeting many people at the resort. But FaaSai is a great place to relax and unwind, so it was still a good stay.
