Melheim Beach Resort Kalpitiya - An Escape into Untouched Coastal Bliss

It has only six rooms, but they are well maintained and serviced. Extremely friendly staff. Great for a leisure stay, quiet and great Sri Lankan food (I understand western food is an option). Flexible menu if you give enough time for them to fetch crabs. I am considering another stay. This time I rented only two rooms, but more in the future. Excellent for a family outing. Well worth the money spent. Although the nearby beaches are not, the beach front of this property is well maintained.

Location was lovely, right by the beach.

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, great Wi-Fi, although menu was limited the food was tasty and well presented. The bathroom facilities were good with a lovely shower.

The soundproofing between the neighboring villas could be improved.

The location is excellent. The Interior and the exterior of the hotel are well organized and clean. Calm and quiet environment to spend a few days next to the beach. Well-maintained garden and beach by the hotel.

1. WiFi was not working 2. Air conditioner was very old and not working at all, had to survive from the fan 3. Paid TV was not working and it was not subscribed (as displayed on TV) 4. Food was overpriced and overcharged 5. Welcoming the guests was extremely poor

The staff at Melheim Beach Kalpitiya go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A high standard of service was maintained at all times. The rooms are fabulous, the restaurant adorable, the pool relaxing

The coconut grove is nice and fenced, hiding the surrounding windmills and power plant. The beach is okay, but nothing special. Fortunately we received a large discount when booking, otherwise it would have been out of our budget.
