Staff were polite and helpful during our stay. Location is superb. Hotel facilities good. Breakfast is ok.
We checked in after 3 pm. Housekeeping only came with missing towel n toiletries after we called. Check out time on booking.com is stated as 1 pm but hotel insisted check out at 12. We didn't mind but the mistake should be rectified to avoid confusion. Found a hair in the breakfast buffet food. No apologies they just took my plate away.

Food was acceptable. Location wise is alright as I had an early meeting the next day in Kerteh.
When I book Royale Chulan, I had expected a certain standard eventhough it was just the chalet. However, when I arrive at the room. It doesn't look well maintain, to a certain level, a bit creepy. It didn't help that I arrive there late at night. The parking area was also inconvenience as it wasnt "tarred", imagine dragging a bag from the parking to the lobby.

It will be easier for senior citizens if we get a ground-level room, so they don’t have to use the stairs.
The walls are quite thin, I can hear people talking in the next room and whenever someone goes up the stairs.
