Hotel los Bérchules

Lovely Mum and Daughter who run the hotel. Even though they had a temporary emergency in the hotel, they upgraded us to an apartment and nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent communication beforehand. Helped us figure out where to stop for a snack on our way into town. Also we arranged for dinner, breakfast and packed lunches because we (a group of 6 of us) were hiking the GR7 and it was all handmade and SO delicious. BEST packed lunches of our entire trip!! Usually we could only get bocadillos for lunch but at Hotel Los Bercheles, they made us a great lunch that kept us going for our whole walk! (Cucumbers, hard boiled eggs, etc!) We all said we would love to go back and stay longer!

Great location, perfect mountain views, light and airy rooms. Food was lovingly prepared with local ingredients and Paula, Megan and Omar went out of their way to make our stay first class. Great base for Las Alpujarras in general and excellent local walking and outdoor activities. Plenty of parking onsite..

Location…simple hotel we have visited many times. Warm welcome and very friendly hosts. It is under new management and is understandably different from our previous trips but we were very comfortable as usual. We were given our favourite room which was a lovely touch. The food was generally very good.

We tried to contact the hotel directly through the website and by phone but had no reply. We booked through booking.com in the end, but as we were frequent visitors we would have liked a more personal touch. We also missed the evening gatherings where me met fellow travellers. Everything shuts at 9 o’clock.
