Rusutsu Pension Clydesdale

Excellent location for snowboarding at Rusutsu, staff (Aoi) is very friendly and courteous, stayed in a snow pod, the tent part is very spacious, the kitchen part could be better equipped but still adequate for simple meals.

Nothing really. You can’t park your car right in front of the snow pod, but the parking spaces are very close.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was warm, cosy and was well appointed. So many extras. Our igloo even had a projector and screen so we could snuggle up in our cozy bed for a movie! The shuttle service to and from the ski resort and dinner was exceptional. Amazing breakfast and dinner. Generous and varied. We are definitely coming here again.

Not too sure about leaving rental car keys to allow for snow clearing overnight. No issues and car didn’t get moved, so worked out okay.

My son and I were well looked after at Rusutsu Pension Clydesdale. We would definitely look to stay at Clydesdale again. The room was comfortable. There was a lovely view from the window of the snow-covered hillside and the nearby outhouses. The staff were very receptive and welcoming. The breakfasts were excellent. We ate dinner at the Clydesdale one evening and it was very good. At breakfast time, just outside the window there are two little houses for birds to feed (and there are a lot of them that come to eat) and some enterprising squirrels who also join in. The shuttle bus service between the Clydesdale and the township was very responsive - we just had to request transport via Whatsapp and the staff were happy to help. It's only 5 mins up the road to the township/chair lifts. The facilities (eg: drying room, washing facilities) were very good. The shared tea/coffee area was also good. We could store cold food in a small fridge in our room or in a larger fridge in the shared tea/coffee area. One surprise was that in the shared bathrooms, there are deep, hot tub which always has clean, hot water in it. This was really good for soothing aching muscles at the end of a day. I'd recommend the Rusutsu Pension Clydesdale.

Very minor point - it would be good to have some drawers in the room for storing socks, underwear, T-shirts etc. We enjoyed staying at Rusutsu Pension Clydesdale.
