Staff were brilliant.

The door at the bottom of the stairs case open towards the stairs. Coming off a narrow steep stairwell wasn’t keen on it. Especially if someone had fallen.

The hotel/bar was bright and the staff very welcoming. The room itself was very clean and comfortable and it is in a great location in the middle of Sedgefield.

The bathroom: severely in need of an update - in particular very difficult to regulate the shower as the controls were very stiff and the water extremely hot! The bathroom door didn't close properly - stuck at the top. The hallway, carpets etc. are very dingy and in need of serious renovation. Breakfast was OK but the coffee (requested 'Black Americano') was dire! Weak with coffee grounds floating in it.
