Inviting look. Nice lobby area. Nice breakfast lady. Yogurt for breakfast. Soda machine on our floor.

80s hotel with new large flat screen TVs. Beds are OK/Standard. AC old school and very noticeable. High way outside window. One slow elevator. Did not have the room I ordered and paid for. Could not supply it.

Very disappointing experience – would not stay again We booked this hotel for a one-night stop on our way to Port Angeles after a 7-hour drive. Communication beforehand was plentiful: • We received a text the day before at 10:00 a.m. confirming our booking • Another text at 5:00 p.m. saying they were happy to have us stay • A phone call at 5:30 p.m. to confirm our arrival, which I answered and told them we were 15 minutes away We arrived at 5:45 p.m., well after the normal 4:00 p.m. check-in time. There was no one at the front desk. A sign instructed us to call a phone number. While dialing, someone appeared and said she had “only stepped away for a minute,” though we had already been waiting about 5 minutes. The front desk agent was polite, but then informed us that our room was not ready, with no estimated time for when it would be. Given the multiple confirmations and our ETA, this was very surprising. We were traveling with a dog, and she mentioned a $15 pet fee, which is completely reasonable. However, since the room wasn’t ready and no timeline was provided — and since we would be leaving at 5:00 a.m., using the room for roughly 10–11 hours — I asked if the pet fee could be waived. She said she was not authorized and that the manager was already gone for the day. At this point, the conversation became frustrating, with repeated explanations that “it wasn’t her fault.” I fully understand that — but it also wasn’t ours. We were simply paying customers arriving after check-in time to a confirmed reservation. Eventually, she found another room we could have immediately and said it was an upgrade. We accepted without further questions. She also stated that the pet fee would be waived. The room turned out to be directly beside Interstate 5, with constant loud truck traffic. Given how short our stay was, we accepted it. However, when I later checked my credit card, the $15 pet fee had still been charged. Between: • A room not ready well after check-in • No manager available • A dismissive front desk interaction • A noisy highway-side room • And being charged a fee that was explicitly waived Paying $200 for a roughly 10-hour stay was extremely disappointing. We travel frequently and are usually very understanding, but this stay left us feeling like we were inconveniencing the staff simply by expecting a confirmed room to be ready. I would not recommend staying here.
