Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel/B&B. We enjoyed the privacy of our room and expansive patio. Beautiful décor and the location was easy walking distance to many attractions. Great breakfast as well!

Beautiful house and convenient location.

Apparently construction on a building next door started ten days before our arrival and we were not made aware of it at all until we woke up to loud banging (adjacent to the wall where our bed was) and debris falling on our roof. There was also a night where a neighbor had a loud party and blaring music into the early morning hours. Both were addressed with the host. He said that he had the rooms booked already and that he had to keep those bookings—he mentioned talking to the construction site (they started earlier the next morning) or a potential discount from his boss but that was denied. It would have been nice for him to acknowledge the issue ahead of time or upon arrival—of course construction doesn’t pause for our travels—instead of not addressing the elephant in the room and crossing his fingers that we would just endure it.

Location is amazing

No elevator so inconvenient pulling bags up and down - the staff guy was nice but used to have more service had to wait to find him

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Casa 9. We felt well taken care of and there was a 24/7 virtual concierge via Whatsapp which was comforting to know even if we didn't really take advantage. However there are a number of things I think they should consider upgrading (mainly within the rooms themselves) given the higher price point. I would be happy to run through the list with someone from the property if they wanted to reach out.

Casa9 was in a great location, walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars. The B&B was really comfortable, almost like being inside a home-stay, rather than a hotel. Our room was ground floor facing the courtyard, it was beautifully designed in a mid-century style. The bed was heaven, we were so jet lagged when we arrived we slept for 15 hours and it was the best sleep ever! Roberto, the hotel manager, was available via WhatsApp to give restaurant recommendations and organise excursions. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. The hotel had a small honesty bar which we used a few times, great beer selection we enjoyed on the oasis terrace.

Due to it's style of being a relaxed home, staff are mostly hidden away. There is no main reception or direct point of contact, which we were told on arrival, so if we needed something we had to text Roberto. We only noticed this to be a slight issue at breakfast as it took a while for staff to appear and take our order. Thankfully we were very relaxed and operating at leisure pace whilst in Mexico City.
