Crown Hotel

Good courtesy bus, though requires some waiting. Nice 20 minute drive to see the area. Beautiful seaview from room, comfortable beds and pillows, a safe, nice room and bathroom with good toiletries, dressing gown and slippers. It took a while to get a spare bed, but they were very busy with many guests arriving for a big conference. The bedroom freezer needed defrosting and leaked to form a puddle on the floor. The microwave plate was dirty. The pool was basic: good pizza by the poolside, but the water was a bit dirty and the pool not very big or very attractive area. This was my main disappointment as that is what we wanted to use for the afternoon, which we still did, but not as exciting as we had hoped. Nice PNG tourist looks through the hotel. General service was reasonable and friendly. Good buffet breakfast with wide variety of cereal, fruit, rolls/pastries,juices, English fried food. Some flavour was a bit lacking, but then meat tastes in general in PNG are different to UK. Overall, I wouldn't rate it to equal a 4 star British hotel, but then PNG is not a modern country, so if you want high quality, then pay more for a more superior hotel. Still an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

The hotel condition and facilities were okay, quite good for port moresby but they charged me twice for pre-authorisation. The second time was without my knowledge and was a different amount. It was a huge let down as it was only realised after I left the country. I'm still trying to chance up a refund and they claim a 1 week turnaround on refunds.

Very pleasant stay with friendly staff. Room was nice and meals very good.

Nice quiet bar with good music. Splendid room a tired traveller could ever ask for.

Did not pick me on time from the airport. Still waiting for the invoice . Have called them 4 times

Bad condition to access internet. Could not access few days.

The pool and gym are great

It was first time in PNG but I think I paid too much!!
