Historic Strater Hotel

Nice historic hotel in good location BUT we were put on the first floor in the back which was a HUGE disappointment!!! Tiny room, barely could move, tiny bathroom, shower for someone under 5 feet tall, window shade had to be kept close as looked into parking lot and building wall. Super uncomfortable. Should have been half the price of other rooms.

Beautiful historical hotel. The entire hotel is in period furnishings and the staff is exceptional. They also provide an historian for a tour of the hotel. There’s several eating options on site. We ate in the Saloon and the food was delicious. We are so glad we stayed here

Great hotel. The room was very clean and the antique furniture was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Whenever we have a chance to visit Durango, we will stay here. We enjoyed the bar with piano music and the bartenders were very attentive.

Shower supplies not refreshed. Beds were just ok. Beautiful historic building so you expect limitations but it wasn’t anything special.

Awesome experience in a very cool older hotel!

Convenient, classic, comfortable, clean. Even if you don’t stay there check out the bar!

Loved the history and location

As described. Old timey, kitschy feel. Right in the middle of the action in downtown Durango. Room is quite small and a bit overloaded with furniture.
