Hotel Indigo San Antonio Riverwalk by IHG

The room had a musty smell. The floor sank down by the air conditioner next to the window. The room was not what was pictured and smaller than expected

This was our first trip to the area. We have stayed at several hotel indigo properties before in other cities. While this hotel was clean enough and had enough space, it seems to be poorly managed. We went to our room which smelled like a dirty vacuum cleaner bag. There was one washcloth and a remote that didn’t control the TV in the room. The sheets felt like they had been washed with multiple towels in the past( had the little annoying piling). We decided to just stay and not complain. Our first afternoon we thought we would go to the hotel bar for a drink. Well the bar nor the restaurant were open so we went next door to the Thompson hotel to their bar and spent our money. The next morning we went down to get coffee in the restaurant, not open past the advertised opening time. So we walked elsewhere and spent our money. This hotel boasts amenities within their hotel that they cannot support. The outdoor area is nice, but we would stay elsewhere in the future. It is right across from a performing arts center. The first night they forgot to turn off their loud music and flashing lights so if you had a balcony room (we did) you woke up several times throughout the night to super loud music. We did mention that when we went down the next morning. This was beyond the hotels control. This property is about a mile away from all the shops and restaurants throughout the river walk so don’t be fooled like we were.

Very very comfortable, loved the bathroom and bed

The only thing we didn't like was the fact that you dont have many options for parking. It's valet only and not cheap.

I like the beautiful view, the breakfast, and their restaurant.

I didn't like one of the staff member from the restaurant, she has an attitude as if she doesn't like working there.
