Maroko Bayshore Suites

I had checked into the executive suites and it wasn’t the best of experience. I had to pay for toothbrushes and the paste. The air conditions are noisy and old. The furnitures need some major upholstery. No extra complimentary or services checking into the best rooms. The rooms are however spacious and that’s about it.

I began my stay in a city-view room, but the view is really of a busy and noisy roadway and a construction site across the way. And the traffic noise while bearable was annoying even at night. So I asked to change rooms and the hotel graciously moved me across the hall to a nicer room on the water at no charge! This room had a beautiful view and was quiet, so I highly recommend booking a water-view room. The staff were always pleasant and helpful Otherwise, the room and hotel were quite nice, although many small details showed significant wear. The hot water was sometimes hot and sometimes lukewarm, but always acceptable. The Lebanese restaurant downstairs is a big plus, but the food is rather uneven. I had wonderful Marouche and Kebab, but a Foul Madamas I could not eat. And strangely, they do not provide a room service menu in the room, even though the restaurant has a very nice menu when you visit. The pool was under renovation, so that waterside area was closed, but they seemed to working hard and I expect in a few weeks it will be good to go. For the price, this hotel seems like a good choice. If I return to Victoria Island, I will likely book again.

Nothing to say really, these guys do not understand basic hospitality and customer service. Total waste of money

This is a very good hotel by all standards and the staff are very helpful in accommodating the needs of clients. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with a variety of food to meet diverse needs. Whilst the location of the hotel is excellent, the address as indicated in the relevant documents from Hotel.com appears to be incorrect and the hotel was difficult to locate. We had to call the hotel for a description of the location. There is no sign relating to the name of the hotel, as such it may be appropriate to use the name of a popular restaurant within the premises in the relevant documents to easily identify the hotel. Otherwise, everything about the hotel was very good. Power supply was uninterrupted.
