The Queens at Horton

Bringing daughter to uni. Late arrival after check in had close and Aimee was more than obliging assisting us in getting checked in. Our boat was delayed and she was very helpful

Had a great stay and breakfast at the Queens. Great for Harper Adams, staff were lovely. Only thing that was a little irritating was the guest room doors slamming!

Myself and 13 year old daughter Had a great 2 night stay at hotel, room very comfortable and beautiful, food was amazing - both dinner and breakfast. Would stay again.

Lovely place and staff . Room was brill shower and shower plug and sink could have been cleaned better as still dirty . But overall brilliant .

I was let down by a hotel in Shrewsbury and found this absolute gem of a hotel at the last minute what a lucky find I needed 2 rooms for one night and when I booked I decided to have an extra night exceptionally comfortable rooms very clean quiet and the white company toiletries very impressed the staff are so lovely and friendly and amazing breakfast

In the main the hotel is worth a 10 (or even an 11 compared to most others), but it was let down by a few minor issues, that really shouldn't have been. There was no chair in the room and nothing to lay my case on for easy unloading, plus the shower knob was extremely hard to turn. But the worst issue for me, was the breakfast cut off time of 9 am on a SUNDAY morning. It would be bad enough on a weekday but on a Sunday is something I've never encountered in my hundreds if not thousands of B&B nights out. As a consequence of these issues, I'm unable to give it a perfect 10 but because of everything else being worth an 11, I'll give it 9.
