OYO Hotel McAlestar OK S Main St

This hotel is in the south side of McAlester across from the railroad tracks. At night its a dark road. The hotel is old and been remodeled but still is a bit dirty. The toiletries are cheap with single packets of shampoo conditioner. I reserved a king room and got a room with 2 doubles. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The hotel was well lit and we felt safe.

Room wasn't very clean. There was stuff left in the freezer and the microwave. There was a used washcloth left hanging over the shower curtain rod. The toilet seat was about to fall off and there was tape stuck on the wall and nightstand for no reason. Basic cable only. The beds were comfortable, the a/c worked good, and no bed bugs. That was about the only plus about the stay.

You can tell that they are trying to update things and the bathroom was tiny but updated nicely. The flooring was newer but very sticky. At first glance when you walk into the room it looks nice but there really were a lot of issues. A hole in the window that someone stuffed a paper towel in, the a/c unit sagging in the wall to the point that there was an inch gap of daylight coming in around it, their ice machine doesn't work. I tried to open the curtains and the curtain rod fell on me. In spite of all of that, overall the staff is nice and helpful and it was a decent place to sleep and a good value for the price.

It was quaint. Not too much as far as amenities. Somewhat safe. Bed was comfortable.

I stayed at this property multiple times every time I stay Expedia bombards me with emails asking me to review it. I like the property hence I stayed there multiple times. But boy is it annoying to get asked over and over and over and over and over and over and over again to review a property you've already reviewed.

Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. A nice, quiet, budget friendly place to stay.

We stayed at the Oyo McAlester for about a week! I was able to get a very cheap rate through their App! The location was good and the rooms had all been newly remodeled and were adorable! The staff was great! Altogether,it was a very nice stay!

This property used to be Economy Inn. It used to be pretty dumpy and run down but after the remodel it is pretty nice and a great value. We were in town from OKC to visit some family and were looking for somewhere affordable to stay. For the price, we weren’t expecting much but were surprised that it was much nicer than what we imagined. The room was clean with a nice and clean bathroom and shower. New sink, tile shower and tub, and decor. It is a little bit off from the main highway but Mcalester is small enough that it isn’t much of an issue. The exterior of the motel leaves a bit to be desired and could use some updating. Our only small complaint is that there isn’t much lighting in the room and the two lamps that are by the bedside are kind of dim. But other than that we will definitely stay again the next time we are in town.
