Palmas de Cocora

All staffs were really friendly and helpful. In this hostel, they had everything, you can ride horse, restaurants etc. all included I would say.

I got robbed in the hostel. It was during 2023 NOV 4th afternoon to 5th morning. main staff's name was Mario and Adriana. We were three Koreans, co works. (looked obviously like asian, foreigner) We checked in around 3pm and left for tracking. and came back around 6pm. My boss said when we came back, those lights that he turned on when we left was off. Next day, I opened my money envelop that I've saved my 1,000,000 pesos separately. but that was gone. I reported to Mario. But well, What can I do? As a traveler, I've put my in case money deep down my bag but wow, somebody took it. BE CAREFULLLL IT'S COLOMBIAAAA

The property is right in Valle de Cocora. The breakfast was spectacular.

The place was VERY overpriced. It was also very dirty, tons of dust under the beds. My wife and kids had a lot of allergies during our stay. We had a problem with the water (while they were using the water in the kitchen, we were unable to shower for a couple of hours). The place is very rustic and broken down.

The lodge is perfect for a group of friends of family. People are really welcome and helpful. Breakfast was great. The view is stunning. They have great play area for kids and they can organise horse ride.

The cabins were amazing. They are beautiful and surrounded by gardens. At night it can get chilly but we are provided with more than enough blankets to be cozy in bed. During the day I spent my time hiking. This is an incredible location for hiking, you are right next to the stop where all the jeep taxis drop off hikers from the town of Salento. At night the sky is lit up with stars. The food at the restaurant was delicious and servings were large. The staff was friendly and even delivered dessert to my cabin the first night I got in. Overall, a magical stay.

Breakfast doesn't start until 8 am so if you want to get an early start to the day you may need to skip the complementary breakfast or come back for it.

late check-in (8 pm) was difficult due to missing Willys or taxis to go there but the staff was very flexible and kind organizing a private taxi for us
