Steep Creek Retreat

Very wonderful place to stay. It was close to nature, always greeted by the birds.

The slope at the road was really steep. The neighbour or whoever stayed closest to our retreat didn't seem friendly as she was yelling profanities at us on first morning there.

Good location, very well maintained & furnished. Extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The owners also left very clear instructions & provided tips on where to go in the neighbourhood. We also loved seeing the birds on the balcony & feeding them. The kids loved it!

I have stayed in many homes around the world and this by far has been the best. Linen, comforts, pantry goods, heating and birds were in abundance. A very relaxing place to stay and all the utilities were easy to operate. The driveway was also much easier than expected. We had no problems whatsoever

Loved that we had 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds. The bath was amazing especially as it was a very cold weekend. Heaters in each bedroom to take the chill off before going to bed. The fireplace was great with wood available. Kitchen fantastic so we could self cater. Thankyou ror the online video link for negotiating the steep public road and driveway access, definitely needed as parking is tight but was not as issue for us as we have SUV's that are all wheel drive. Feeding birds with grain provided was a highlight.

Our main negative would be the steep steps at the front door but we managed this by using the back door but a better path for this route would be beneficial. Landscaping and mowing of lawn could be improved but we stayed inside due to weather so did not impact our stay.

Love the way the host, Marcus, welcomed us and ensured that all are well for our arrival and stay. Even provided information and videos on how to reach the place. We wanted to experience leaving in the nature, and this place gave us the best experience! From my morning trail run to Belgrave Lake Park, to welcoming and feeding all sort of beautiful birds by the balcony, to visiting the neighbour's Alpaca and sheep, to enjoying making the fireplace, and playing the board games prepared in the cottage. Kids enjoyed the bath tub. And most importantly, the sceneries around the place. Exceeds our expectation. We had a great time nd definitely will come back, and recommend others to try this experience.

1 bathroom but there was 6 adults but we handled it fine.
