Budget Inn -Yreka

Room was spacious, clean and everything we needed for our 4 hour stay on our road trip.

The man who checked us in seemed extremely annoyed that we booked through booking.com. He said, "Why didn't you call directly?" It was 10:30 at night and we woke him up so maybe that's why he was cranky but the whole check in was weird. I told him we had a dog and he would only take cash for the deposit. When I explained we were only sleeping a few hours and then hitting the road, he gave me instructions on how to turn everything off in a barky manner.

Location, nearby restaurants and stores.

This property was bare bones. I thought it was clean, the owners were friendly and helpful, but there was a lack of amenities. An ice machine and some vending machines would be an asset. Limited restaurants in the area also. There was a refrigerator and a microwave so you could bring food in.

Knotty pine ceiling, price

Weird electrical plug above the bed.... Hard to understand how to manage A/C.

Clean and comfortable for a great price.

It would have been nice to have a grassy green area to walk the dog. But I am just glad they take pets.
