Borgo da Vinci

This property was the best rental we had on our two-week European vacation. It met our every need. We stayed in Munich, Florence, here (near Volterra), and in Rome. This was our favorite rental. We rented a two-bedroom suite, with private bath, kitchen, dining area, and living area. It also had a beautiful covered terrace to enjoy wine on while we looked out over the Tuscan hills. If you are looking for Tuscany, it’s right here. It’s a 10-minute drive to Volterra, where you can easily find public parking and walk into the city center for a day filled with great food, history, and stunning Tuscany views from the top of the city. In addition, there are many wineries to visit nearby. We parked in a public lot at the northern side of the city (Volterra), literally steps from the city center area. I used the map app on my iPhone and searched parking. Very easy in and out if your are intimidated by driving there. Don’t let that scare you. Some roads can get a bit narrow, but it’s very do-able. There are many great locations for a glass of wine, some with postcard views of the Tuscan hills. Just beautiful and what you picture in your mind when you think of Tuscany. However, the number one item that surpassed our expectations was the host, Silvia. She went above and beyond to help us through a very difficult situation when someone in our group fell Ill. Silvia knew we had a rough first night and as a generous gesture, she arranged for a morning bread and sweets delivery for us - I mean, how entirely sweet that was! She checked in on us often to see how the situation progressed.

Absolutely no negatives. This rental was perfect!

The location, close to the beautiful town of Volterra. Easy to find from the airport and easy to get to lots of lovely places. The apartment itself was spacious clean and well equipped. Sylvia was a great host.

Kitchen could be a bit better equipped especially if you were doing a lot of cooking (needs more utensils and extra plates/bowls/glasses etc)

The apartment was comfortable and clean. Facilities were fine and met our needs.

The outdoor space was very unkempt. Some pool furniture and the furniture in our private garden was broken. Nobody seemed to tidy the pool area. The gardens were rather rustic. The wi-fi service was good for the first few days but became very patchy.

Great location in the country side but close to Volterra. Kid friendly with games and the pool. Take advantage of the bakery's bread! The host was helpful and welcoming.

Lovely new built but traditional style apartment in a great rural setting outside Volterra. Silvia was a great host and the place has a lovely family friendly atmosphere.

The host Silvia was fantastic! Lovely and helpful with everything you needed. We were here for a wedding and it was conveniently located to the venue. The room was lovely, big and clean.

Great place, very quiet, we had all we needed and great attention from the host.

The internet connection is weak and does not reach all rooms. There is no mobile data coverage.
