Frank is an amazing host to this establishment! He was very kind and accommodating throughout my stay. The area is close to town center but also just far away enough to relax and unwind from your day.

Everything and the host Frank was extremely welcoming.

We didn't have breakfast there. The room and bathroom was pretty small. The location was within easy walking distance from the town main street and far enough away to be quiet.

One odd thing was that the owner gave us drinking water in reuseable glass bottles. It made me wonder how the glass bottles and stoppers were sanitized or how often they were replaced when not used. I don't think they had dates on them. When I asked him if we could drink the tap water he said no because it was water from a reservoir on the house. That wasn't ideal and somewhat inconvenient. Also, I know it's a guesthouse but it had 4 stars clearly displayed out front. I don't know what the parameters for 4 star guesthouses are but I would have expected better. Also it doesn't have a 24 hour reception desk and we were given a single keychain with an old time door key on it and a regular key to get in the front door. Now these aren't dealbreakers but just suboptimal for a residence that chaims 4 star accomodations.

Badezimmer ganz ohne Heizung, Dusche mit Vorhang. Heizung im Schlafraum ging zentrak gesteiert abends irgendwann komplett aus und morgens erst wieder spät an. Nur 1 freie Steckdose bodennah in Türnähe. Weniger wichtig: WLAN um 23 Uhr nicht mehr verfügbar.

We arrived just as Storm Dave was hitting & had been riding a motorbike. So we were wet and drippy. The owner was so understanding about this. He was SO welcoming; showing us everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. You could just tell he's been in hospitality for a long while - everything we could possibly have needed was to hand. Even an umbrella in case we wanted to go outside while it was still raining. The place is a quick 5 minute walk to the town centre, but quiet in the evenings. He also had information on recommended restaurants / coffee shops & good spots for breakfast. Whilst they do not provide breakfast, there is a large dining area with cutlery, crockery, a microwave, toaster etc. Tea / coffee making station in the rooms & extra in the dining area.

Not much; we really enjoyed our stay. Maybe needed a bigger TV...
