Beautiful & Unique Alfama flat

Living in the heart of the historic old town of Lisbon has been made very comfortable with this appartment. In a quiet street, just 10 minutes walk from the railway station and the famous viewpoints (miradouros) further uphill. We immediately felt at home at this place. The windows give you a view over the rooftops and the river in the distance. The directions and instructions we got from the host were perfect, and the place is easy to find when on foot. Public car parking is relatively close by, and public urban transport to the destinations further away in Lisbon are within a few minutes walking distance. The kitchen is fully functional, and we liked the washing machine, which would made our lives very comfy if we had stayed more nights. Note: the host requests a blocking of EUR 250 on your account for possible damages. For us this is not a problem, and we understand that the host might have had guests that have caused damage to its furniture on purpose. As this is a beautiful place to live in, let's keep it that way :) Also note that the appartment is on the 4th floor, so if you are not the best in carrying your heavy luggage up, then this is something to take into account. Tip: there is a wonderful local restaurant on the corner of the alley that leads to this place. Highly recommended.

Apartment was absolutely perfect, stairs are not an issue like you see in other reviews. If you are visiting Lisbon you are well aware it is a place with lots of hills and walking so you should be very prepared for a few stairs. Apartment is modern and has everything you need. Definitely would stay again

My only recommendation is to invest in a new heater for people staying during winter months as the apartment can be cold and hard to heat using the current heater installed. It is very slow and not great for heating the room

Location, easy access, modern style.

The apartment is located in a really authentic old house, which is charming. The hosts explained very well how to find it. It is a really good place to stay for a few days as it is equipped with a kitchen and washing machine. The bedroom is thoughtfully separated from the sitting room, which gives an opportunity for better relaxation after day's activities.

The shower drain was not working properly, but it didn't cause major problems.

The location was not convenient to us. I can say this is the worst booking that i had. the property has no elevator and our room was on the 4th floor. How could i possibly bring up our luggages with my 75 year old Aunt with me.? I was told that a girl will help us up , i had a very stressful flight from Madrid to Portugal that day upon learning that our accommodation has no Lift! well, as our airport transport driver told us, there are restrictions to cabs in entering the neighborhood, i got more stress. True enough, we were not allowed to enter... so what should we do? We booked in another hotel. What a waste of money! Please don't be fooled !

The apartment is on the 4th floor and that information is hidden until after you book. The neighbors are extremely loud during quiet hours so good luck sleeping if you’re a light sleeper. WiFi was cut off at 8:57 am the day of check out and check out is at 11am. I wouldn’t recommend unless everything else was booked which was the case for me.
