Great location for Eden Project, Heligan and a great selection of beaches and walks. Good pub food in the village. The house was light and airy but cosy, immaculately clean with exceptional beds, bedding and pillows. We loved our three night stay and wish we had booked it for longer. Communications with the owners was spot on. The little welcoming touches were much appreciated. We loved the Cornish pottery and art. Many thanks to the owners it was just fabulous.

Beautifully decorated character cottage, exceptionally clean and well-provisioned. Strawberries and clotted cream waiting for us in the fridge and a box of shortbread, an unexpected treat. A quiet away-from-it-all spot with the lovely Ship Inn pub and restaurant a few doors away.

The property was exceptional but unfortunately there is only a small portion of the beach nearby that we could visit as the majority was only for the use of the patrons of the large motor camp nearby.

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr schön, geschackvoll eingerichtet und man hat sich gleich wohlgefühlt. Das Wetter war sehr englisch in meiner Woche, ich habe die beiden Pubs im Ort, zwei Minuten zu Fuss, also drinnen und außen in der Sonne kennengelert. Im Ort gibts auch ein kleinen Laden mit allem Notwendigen zwischen 7am und 8pm.

Pentewan liegt in einem Tal und hat fast im ganzen Ort keinen Mobilfunkempfang, mit keinem Netzanbieter! Ich finde, eine Info vorher wäre gut, da es etliche Konsequenzen hat. 1. man kann im Laden nicht mobil bezahlen, nur mit Kreditkarte und Pincode oder bar. In den Pubs geht es weil die WLAN haben, kann man sich übrigens umsonst einwählen. 2. im Bus geht mobil bezahlen auch nicht, nur Kreditkarte oder cash 3. die Taxifahrt von St Austell , 15 Pfund, muß man cash bezahlen oder bei Fahrtantritt mit Karte 4. besser man hat immer Bargeld dabei 5. das kostenlose WLAN im L Nauti ist nicht besonders schnell, ich konnte also nichts steamen und das liegt nicht am Ausland, den Rest meiner 3 wöchigen Tour hat es immer funktioniert und das seit Jahren 6. und letztes. Da ich allein war und der Fernseher am ersten Abend nicht funktionierte, HDMI Kabel war rausgerutscht; habe ich meinen Frust im Pub bei Connor dem Barman rausgelassen, am nächsten Morgen sah es dann wieder besser aus

Nothing to dislike a gem

It was beautifully clean and smelt amazing all the bedding was beautiful and fresh and such nice little touches we arrived and the fire was on and it was just so perfect. The welcome hamper the Easter decorations and daffodils and just so much love and care went into the finish and the way it’s looked after.

The only thing I would say is a washing machine but I know the place is very tiny but didn’t ruin anything and wouldn’t make us not want to come back

Everything, the cottage was absolutely immaculate and so welcoming. The attention to detail was amazing and the cottage was so cozy. Will definitely be returning.
