"A lovely stay with excellent breakfasts!"

Marie was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make my three night stay in the Lakes Lodge lovely. Her full English breakfasts were excellent and she couldn't be more kind and attentive. The location in Windermere is very good and many shops, pubs and tourist shops are in very easy access and in walking distance. Marie is very knowledgeable about the Lake District and offered great advice on the various places to visit. I travelled by motorcycle and was able to explore this beautiful area. I really recommend a trip to Beatrix Potter's home Hill Top in Near Sawrey run by the National Trust and free to NT members. Best to pre-book arrival but so worth it!

Nothing to dislike as I was satisfied with my stay and as mentioned previously Marie was very nice and helpful. Outside parking a little limited but there seems to be enough room for 4 cars and I parked my motorcycle at the top of the private car park as it's a steep gradient and you need level ground and the gravel surface could be a little tricky when parking. I would suggest if you go by motorcycle and need to park it safely to manoeuvre backwards and facing the road especially when leaving the Lakes Lodge.

Location was great, 5 minutes to train and close to all restaurants. Beautiful area.

Had canceled second night prior to arriving and they wouldn't give refund. Trouble connecting to WIFI. Room had 2 single beds which I kept feeling like I was going to roll off. Host was trying to be helpful, but I prefer less communication.

Stayed here for one night while hiking in the Lake District and it was spot on. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed after a long day on the fells. The location made it really easy to get to and from the trails. The owner was a real character—friendly, welcoming, and full of stories! Definitely added some charm to the place. For a short stopover, it couldn’t have been better. Would happily stay again next time we’re in the area.
