room was not ready at 2 pm and even they didn’t know that we had a booking waited for an hour to get the room cleaned and that too half cleaned

The room was "economy" class rated. And it was tiny. Plus it was cold in there and the was no air circulation whatsoever. The bathroom was there, but it was in a so-so condition. In addition the toilet flush tank started to "sing" (the valve did not close properly and allowed water to screech to the tank) and it was LOUD. Water from shower seeped through the tiles and "corroded" the white wash inside the room. I understand that it is an "economy", but there is no even a slight attempt of noise proofing of the room. Every slight noise (includes the laundry machines) is clearly audible inside and disturbs you, especially at night. When it was brought up to the reception, they cut me off and said that it is impossible to stop the laundry as it will paralyse the hotel. Overall I am disappointed. I can't say about other rooms, but even "economy" class can be way better.
