La Casa In Pietra

Among the many B&Bs to choose from, only a select few are superior and worth recommending. This B&B “La Casa in Pietra” is among the top percentile, deserving a most excellent review and a high recommendation. Santa Caterina Villarmosa may be off the well-beaten path but it is no pit stop on the racetrack to somewhere else. You can spend one night or several nights here exploring this commune and if you choose to visit then you need a great place to stay. The stone house offers an understated elegance to this artistic home away from home. Here is a smart and creative atmosphere enhanced by the many pieces of art and crafts on display. Like professional dancers, this facility expresses movements of grace and practice. It is super clean, leaving nothing to chance. The upstairs bedroom has plenty of places to hang the clothing, the bathroom was spotless and efficient, high-quality sheets were provided on a comfortable mattress, window glass was bright and clean, and a silent air conditioning unit kept things nice and cool when needed. Downstairs offers very relaxing fine-quality furnishings, a dedicated conversation area of divans, and a beautiful table and chairs for dining. The kitchen cabinetry is well-made in a beautiful rustic style. Many if not all the featured woodwork was built by the owner. Plus, there is a relaxing garden with fountain, plants, and shade tree with plenty of space welcoming all guests. The lighting is atmospheric both outside and inside. We really felt this to be like home. Not to be missed was the breakfast, included. So many tasty treats were offered, the delights were too numerous to list. Needless to say, the coffee was fantastic. The location is perfect, at the entrance edge of the village, on a safe and wide street, across from a park and a short walk to the fruit and vegetable stand on the other side of the park.

Nothing to dislike.

Without question, this was the best B&B that we have ever stayed at. The owners were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. It felt as though we were immediately accepted as family members. The breakfasts were excellent. The rooms were great. Parking is immediately outside of the premises. Facilities in the village/town are all accessible close to the B&B. All in all, this was a most enjoyable stay.

We were welcomed into Claudio and Giuseppina's home. Their energy is amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast and delicious coffee. Rooms cleaned daily. We were rewarded with the beautiful country drive, off the beaten path, to arrive where tourists are warmly welcomed. We enjoyed interacting with their family and friends together with other guests. The local villagers were so kind. One particular instance, pointing out patiently we were driving up a one way street the wrong way!

Nothing could have been better. We will remember fondly our time with Giuseppina & Claudio.

The owners that are running the BNB. They bend over backwards to please you. Their breakfasts are very good..

Internet connections were somewhat difficult to receive on the top floor. And the TV with 200 different possible channels only had one language available. Of course that was Italian.

Pima and Claudio were exceptional hosts. They are worth the trip across the country with all its winding roads. (They only speak Italian for those who care!). They are warm, generous and passionate about everything. A truly Sicilian welcome.

Property was beautiful. The hosts were accommodating in every way. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Loved our time there. Thank you Pina & Claudio!!!!
