Simple Life Motel

I like how the property was close to everything that I mainly needed. An if it wasn’t as close the staff will help me find what i needed and it wasn’t out the way.

What I didn’t like is that even though it’s spring. We wanted to stay another night which would put us leaving Monday. However they are not open during the week until June in the summer. Never heard of a motel that’s close on weekdays.

There were no breakfast

No coffee.

It was close to the board walk

No wash off station from the beach

Air conditioning

hole in the floor next to sliding door. No drain stopper in bathroom, Insects on the floor, Bathroom out of date, did not get room we requested. people in the room above us were extremely loud.

Overall it was a good hotel to stay at. It was very close to the beach, plenty of things in walking distance. Staff was friendly. Clean room except for the floors. AC worked great

The pool "on site" is actually not on site, the outdoor one is at the property next door and the indoor one is at the property on the other side of the one with the outdoor one (2 hotels down basically). The beds were not soft, they were quite uncomfortable. The room floors could have been cleaned at bit better, white socks didn't stay white. Water pressure for the shower was non existent

We liked the location as well as the description on the website of the motel, if it was all true!

Let me start with having to go to a separate motel to get office help. When we got to the room the bathroom light was not working. While the young man came to help the girls next door get into their room, I ask if he could come to our room. He did and flicked the switch a few times. Then giggled it until it came on. When I told him that was not safe and a fire hazard he did nothing. We then realized the next morning we had no towels. Went to office to discuss the room selection as well as get towels. We paid for a king deluxe suite. We did not have a suite, we had a rickity desk & chair. Bed, refrigerator with microwave on top.Microwave was not sturdy, had crack in it. Unit for air had remote on wall in holder. When you remove remote the holder falls off wall. Large hole for screw, been that way for awhile. Also mentioned in description that it said soundproof walls. I could here the girls next door, not just voices but conversation. To the point I cound tell at 2:30am they had a man in their room. The supply closet next store, and right at the stairs. There was no outlets to charge electronics. The gentleman behind the counter handed me two towels, I told him I had my husband as well; he handed me two more. Never offered to help with any of our problems. Went back to room and had three bath mats and one towel. I never went back to ask for anything else, what was the point. Stayed our four days and left. Will never stay at this motel or group ever again. This was our 46th @ anniversary. Did not expect it to be like this...
