La Chacra de Joel Hotel

It was a very cool old property, probably a family vacation resort at one time. Nicely landscaped, good breakfast, nice staff, quiet.

Mold in the shower, stained towels, toilet ran on and on, very little ventilation, thin lumpy pillows. The road google maps told us to take was difficult to find, and once found, was torn up for several blocks, necessitating a tour around town and several stops for verbal directions. It would have been nice to get a message with up to date directions from Booking or the Property, but nothing was offered by either. This caused additional stress and a very late arrival. Once arrived, the property had no record of our non-refundable reservation through Booking. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful and eventually gave us a room.

Fantastic breakfast, great water pressure and a nice hot shower, the grounds and courtyard are beautiful, safe and secure parking

Our room was comfortable, and the staff and facilities were very nice. The rooms do not have AC, but the climate in Huehue is such that they are typically NOT needed. The hotel is some distance from the road, so there is no street noise.

The property felt very safe with a gated parking and property

The beds were not comfortable and it looks very old. The WiFi was never working so we had to use our data to work.
