McDougall Cottage

Lovely little house with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

It’s located on a busy road, across the road from a community centre and church. So there is always people parking either side of the driveway making reversing back onto the busy road a challenge. But this really is a minor issue, not at all a dealbreaker.

Easy access to everything. Older style home that was very warm and comfortable. In particular I liked the walk through main bedroom wardrobe with heaps of space. The bedspreads were a bonus, super cosy, and far superior to 2 sheet layers with a quilt in between that most places use as bedding. Lovely verandah and great sitting area in the garden. Would definitely stay again.

Location was fine for us -Close to the town centre. Good off street parking. A well planned holiday house.

The bathroom had a blocked hand basin. Shower in second bathroom leaked. Heated towel rails don't work. Poor dusting & cleaning of main area. Uncomfortable & dirty arms on the settee (Sofa) Over all the place is getting tired & due for a refurbishment. What a wonderful home away from home. Everything so well appointed. The kitchen had everything you would need: cups, crockery, cutlery, glasses, utensils were in excellent supply. The check-in was good and friendly. Great Wi-Fi . Great Location

Nothing - everything was great and as expected. Did not book for long enough - should have been a week 😀

Great location, cute cottage.

Poorly stocked kitchen - lack of kitchen utensils, minimal plates, glasses and silverware. Washer smelled very mildewy - ran it once before using, but still smelled . Living room furniture in need of cleaning. Would be nice to have body wash, shampoo and extra rubbish bags.
