Kylie's Castle

Large spacious home for a large group! great that each room has their own bathroom. Fantastic central location.

We cannot speak highly enough of this amazing property, we absolutely loved it ! Kylies Castle was the perfect house for our family. Check in was super easy, just a block away with lovely staff. The beds are all super comfy and the many bathrooms really clean and spacious with lots of towels. The kitchen was amazing, and open living, fantastic. So much space and everything worked. The location could not be better, a tiny walk to the lake and shops, restaurants etc. we will definitely be booking again and recommending to friends.

Upton Apartments seem to be a newly built property, it was spacious and clean. Good value for money and we enjoyed our stay at the property.

1. There was a bad odour in the dishes and the dishwasher. We had to hand wash the dishes as the odour didn’t go even after two dishwasher washing rounds. It seems like the dishwasher needs a thorough clean. 2. The shower head of the downstairs bathroom came off and needed repairing during our stay. 3. An extra mirror outside the downstairs bathroom is required for people staying and dressing up downstairs.

Was there with high expectations, but was extremely disappointed

The property had a minor incident (fire in the toilet) in July. Was not informed about this nor was I asked to rebook another property. Received a message quite late - 6.45pm day before I checked in. Was on the road and was not aware of the email. My mistake for not realising that I needed to collect keys from another place. Went there and was informed about the need to change my booking. I had booked a property with 5 rooms with attached bathrooms. What I got was 5 rooms with only 3 bathrooms - not what I wanted! I was told that they had given me the best they could and I could reject it at the time I wanted to check in. Fancy me going around looking for 5 rooms! Had no choice but to take what was given. I do not have any idea of what Kylie's Castle would be, but Rusted Charm would not be what I wanted. I had a super small room, which fitted only 2 single beds, and no cupboard, not even hooks to hang my clothes. Of the 2 beds, one didn't even have an electric blanket. I was told that Kylie's Castle will have a small room like this, but I can't imagine it to be as all rooms have its own attached bathroom. Extremely unhappy about the property not informing me so that I can make my own decisions as to whether I want to take what they offer. The fire was in July, my stay was in November!

The property has a wonderful view of Lake Wanaka, from almost every room. There were more bathrooms than bedrooms, making it a breeze for the 7 of us staying there. The house is fantastically located, with easy access and a short drive to Cardrona, and a short walk to the town centre for any shopping/food.
