OYO Shore Surf Lodge

The location was good, 10 minutes walk from the train station and less than 5 minutes from the bus station. I had an en-suite double room with a sea view, the sea view was so nice!! Everything was clean, the towels were soft and they smelt really nice. It was handy having a kettle with tea and coffee in the room. It was easy to check in using the key safe. The staff I met were friendly.

There was a bit of noise from other rooms/the hallway in the evening and the curtains did not completely block out the light. I go to bed early and I am a light sleeper so I didn’t sleep that well but using an eye mask and white noise/earplugs helped and I did not hear noise during the night. The mattress was a bit soft for me. It would be good to have a bedside lamp in the room.

Property is excellent for staying.. Location wise and cleanliness is excellent.. Will definitely book again.

nothing about this place was likeable...

Unwelcoming owner had to get our keys from a lock box on the wall opposite reception whilst they shouted over the keycode. got told the room is upstairs with no escort. we didn't end up staying and asked for a refund because my disabled mother couldn't get up 2 flights of stairs. owner said no and just turned away from me. booking.com asked them to make an exception and refund us but they said "it's not our fault you couldn't get up a few steps" the worst part is we only booked the hotel an hour before arriving and they claimed a 48 hour cancellation. inhuman. Please don't pay money to this man.

Staff was lovely. As it was very hot few days they gave us a fan for the room. Looking forward to our next stay

Friendly and helpful staff. Bus stop on the opposite side of the road with fre 11 entrance services makes getting to and from here without walking up the hill easy.
