Santa Teresa Surf Vista Villas

Marco and the team were there when we needed something and provided us privacy when we didn’t need them. The setting was perfect for a relaxed family stay. Lots of room and all the comforts.

Spectacular views down to the ocean. Listening to the howler monkeys in nearby trees. Well equipped villa with lots of space. Great swimming pool.

You really need a 4 wheel drive to access the property. It’s 500m from the main road and up extremely steep gradient. I did not have a vehicle so only managed to walk down from the villa which took 20 mins and nearly fell over twice as some of the road surface was very rough. Had to get taxis up to the villa which cosy 10,000 Costa Rica colones each time.

The view was amazing! Nice pool. Deck area was spectacular with magnificent sunset vista. Really spacious room. Amazing views of howler monkeys very close to the accommodation every day!

We knew from reading the reviews that the villa was remote. We didn’t have a car and are 2 capable and fit guys in our 30s but the walk up and down the hill really was a challenge in the 33 degree humid heat and at night in the pitch black. I really wouldn’t advise staying here without a car (SUV). Taxis were extortionate - we couldn’t have taken our wheelie suitcase down the hill when leaving and the taxi recommended by the accommodation charged us $18 USD for a one way journey (we bartered him down from 20…) which was approximately 900m and 5 minutes. The room itself was tired and odd with lots of beds and little attention to detail and bad lighting. It didn’t match the spectacular deck which was a real shame. We didn’t receive any communication from the host from booking in early January until our arrival. I think it would be good to advise guests without a car to bring their food shopping with them. There were no coffee making facilities or coffee itself which I think in such a remote location and at the price point (our most expensive accommodation in Costa Rica) would be a nice touch. I wouldn’t stay here again when returning to beautiful Santa Teresa.

Off the beaten path but just an incredible deck and view. Lots of wildlife nearby. Close to the beach . Rustic but had everything we needed . A great place , we would go back tomorrow if we could

The view is amazing. We stayed in a beautiful private house very well equipped.

It’s at the top of a hill, you need an ATV or a 4x4 to get up. I do not recommend getting up by foot.

The views were phenomenal. I was very happy with our choice. Loved the small amenities like salt and pepper and a Costa Rican coffee maker.

Stunning view. Comfortable bed. Outdoor shower with warm water. Beautiful stay, would book again.

As everyone mentioned, its at the top of the hill. Taxis will charge extra to go up it, didn't like their prices. We actually just walked it everytime and it wasn't so bad.
