Nice room, excellent staff. Got very bad stomach and diarrrohea from hotel restaurant vegetable soup.

Excellent hotel. but needs to give proper training to front office staff and probably the hotel Manager himself. Bit slow checkin-check out process. The laundry section spoiled my clothes but compensated for it. However the compensation process took hours and had been kept waiting with myself kept following up. Manager must share most of the blame as he just disappeared leaving it to some staff who had no authority. Poor leadership

NEW hotel just opened October 4, 2019. Everything is new and shiny at this hotel when I stayed towards the end of October. The hotel is very western in style, size and amenities. By far one of the nicer hotels in the city and not just because it is new. The rooms are spacious, bathrooms nice with imported tiles and fixtures including the toilets, showers and bathtub. The hotel does have a VERY nice indoor swimming pool that is adjacent to a small but adequate gym. There is also a spa area which services were not available until November. The restaurant on the second floor is great, clean and spacious. The staff is helpful and the menu offers quite a bit of variety. I ate there for most meals so I was able to try quite a bit of the menu and it was never disappointing. The potential comes from what is still yet to be finished. Most the hotel is still not quite done yet and there is continuous construction going on. It looks like most of the guest rooms on the lower floors are still being worked on. The main thing is the rooftop lounge that is marketed, but still seems to be some time away, but it will be a great addition with a great view of the city when complete. The staff is still working out some kinks in learning to work in a large hotel with primarily foreign guests. Not all speak fluent English, but do speak French well. For only being open a few weeks when I visited, the staff is working hard to make everyone's stay great. The wifi was fast when I was able to connect. I had to keep getting new codes each day and for each new device. I think that is more to do with the communication of the staff not quite knowing how to handle this. The power would go out daily but usually just quickly and would be back on. I do not know if this was because of the construction, the new hotel, or just being in the city as it also went out for blocks. I would like to see the hotel in a few months and see how things are operating and if things were all up and running. If you are in the city, this is a great hotel to stay at for all fo the comforts of a modern hotel.
