Tinidee Hideaway Tonsai Beach Krabi

This place is BEAUTIFUL and the little villas are perfect. The food at the restaurant is great (breakfast is also included - which we didn't know) and the staff is amazing. If you want to unwind and just enjoy the beautiful views of Tonsai Beach, you have to book Tinidee Hideaway!!! We rented a kayak and we had the best time. I would recommend this place for friends or couples, maybe less for families with young children since there isn't much to do for them. Also do not hesitate to book their private transfer, it made the journey from / to Krabi airport really smooth and easy!!

The location of this resort is stunning, surrounded by limestone karsts. The bungalows are tasteful and peaceful. The seats on the balcony perhaps not the best for relaxing. Breakfast was decent and staff lovely. One thing that I wish I'd realised before I went is that this is the site of the old Ton Sai village. The village is now up the back behind the wall that runs around this resort. I stayed in this village back in 2007, and just booked this without giving it much thought. Turns out the village was forced to entirely relocate because the Sheraton bought the land that the village sat on. They cleared the area, started building a resort then abandoned the project without finishing it. It was then bought by a big Bangkok corporation who produced this resort on a small portion of the original Sheraton land. The land remains walled off. This resort feels to me like a symbol of how things are going on most islands in Thailand - big companies building big resorts, with the profits not shared among the local people. I think if I had done my research properly I would not have stayed there. I should have.

WOW! This property is in the most beautiful location I’ve ever seen. Breathtaking views. Delicious free breakfast. Walk to Railay beach next door for an unreal beach day with soft sand and warm water. This place is magical!!

The bed was amazing!!! The food was good and although more expensive than in town, it wasn’t overpriced. Only annoyance was that the bed sheets were supposed to be changed every other day and we stayed for 3 nights and they were never changed. It was like 10pm when we got into get and noticed.

I almost don't want to write this review because I would like to keep this place a secret, but they really people to know how great of a resort this is.... This is as nice as any 5 star resort I have stayed in and simply the best setting I have ever been to in a hotel. The staff is amazing, so friendly, always happy and nothing is too much. We had a very early 9:15am flight out of Krabi so would have had to arrange a private longtail boat but they advised that it would be really hard because of low-tide at the time. So the only thing we could do is cut our stay short one night and leave early. Low-tide is not the hotels issue, yet they were the ones who suggested we leave one night early and they would refund us for the last night. I was blown away by that gesture!! I would have been coming back regardless, but they have a customer for life now........

La estancia en este resort ha sido fantástica. Desayuno a la carta buenísimo, habitaciones con vistas al mar excepcionales. Desde la recepción te organizar excursiones y traslados. Está Paras, que habla eñun español perfecto y está de prácticas hasta final de mayo pero hay un chico que habla un poquito también. Muchas gracias por todo.

Last year, 2023, we stayed at Railay Beach but discovered the incredible restaurant at Tinidee. We kept coming back for the Massaman curry, pineapple fried rice and the other delicious food items. Cris is a fantastic cook (best Massaman anywhere!!), and very warm and welcoming. We felt like one of the family. We were back to Railay in 2024 and once again headed to the Tinidee restaurant on numerous occasions. Cris remembered us and couldn’t do enough for us. Huge shoutout to her, the ops manger, Ae, and the super-friendly servers.

Beautiful resort in a beautiful location. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked well once it had been on for a while and balcony was nice. Filtered water tap provided in the room was a nice touch. Pool was great and being a 30 second walk from the beach was amazing. The restaurant does very nice dinner and the service at the restaurant was great, very professional. I emailed the resort two days before our booking and messaged them again on Facebook one day before the booking asking about our arrival and for some tips on using the longboats. I did not receive replies to either the email or the Facebook message - the Facebook message was just ‘Seen’. Because of this, we were not aware that there is an opening to the resort near where the longboats drop you off so we instead made the long walk across the whole beach, through the sand, in the midday heat to get to reception. There is even a golf cart to pick you up but we couldn’t organise this as they didn’t reply. The paint on the chairs on the balcony was peeling off onto our bodies and clothes. The breakfast provided by the resort restaurant was terrible. This was confusing because it was prepared by the same restaurant where we had a number of fresh and tasty dinners. The Thai fried rice breakfast was tasteless and the American style breakfast was just unacceptable - the beans were cold, the sausages were cold, the eggs were undercooked, the tomatoes were undercooked. The only edible thing on the plate was the hash brown. We couldn’t really believe how bad it was so tried it twice to see if it was a one off but it was equally bad both days. The restaurant service was so professional so it’s clearly an issue in the kitchen. There is a buffet of fruit and toast that kind of made up for the bad breakfast. Just not what we expected from a pretty expensive 3 star resort.

This is so much fun right from the start. You arrive at AOnang beach. And jump onto a long boat to pop you round the corner. Warning you may get wet !! You pull into this amazing bay where you are welcomed by the gorgeous team at tinidee. Our room had two single beds, was on stilts over looking the sea. Air conditioning worked perfectly. The sound of the birds chirping and the mountains surrounding the hotel magnificent. All meals were so tasty especially dinner. You can walk over to railway beach but you will return quickly as you are staying at perfection. Well done TINIDEE. AWESOME Just to add. The whole resort very environmentally conscious. No plastic. Wonderful.

Staying at this hotel is an experience in itself, absolutely beautiful. Would definitely come back. Loved seeing the family of monkeys every morning.
