The Utengule Coffee Lodge is a great place to unwind, before or after a long road trip. The food is lovely, plenty of drinks choices, and the staff courteous and attentive. Breakfast on the lawn overlooking the Rift Valley is a must, together with a couple of giraffes! Rooms are basic but comfortable, and the beds perfect for a good night's rest. I have visited a few times, and feel the weight of the world disappearing when I arrive.

We had an amazing stay at Utengule. The staff is great, food is delicious and the room was comfortable. They organised a hike to Mbeya peak for us, which was great. I would definitely recommend staying at least 2 nights there.

We were a bit disappointed not to visit the coffee farm, as it was closed due to the weather. Also, the rooms aren’t very soundproof, installing proper doors might help! 😊

unser Zimmer war auf zwei Stockwerken verteilt. Mit kleineren Kindern war das für uns eher ungünstig. Es gäbe aber sicherlich auch noch andere Zimmervarianten.

I loved staying at this beautiful lodge. The staff was amazing.

The food was fresh and tasted excellent, and the staff provided incredible service that truly enhanced the experience. The lodge's secluded location offered breathtaking views of the Rift Valley, making it a perfect retreat.

With 2 out of 4 of us being pure vegetarians, some of our requests were not accommodated especially for breakfast. They had to manage with limited options available for all 3 days. Additionally, the Booking.com listing mentioned free shuttle to/from the airport. However, this was not true. We were about to be charged US$60 for a two-way shuttle while completing the check-out formalities. The manager realized this error upon showing our booking details but still came up with an absurd reason to charge us. Eventually, she agreed to waive the fee for the pickup but we still ended up paying for the drop-off.
