DAV MAHAL Eco lodge

This was my second time coming to Dav Mahal, and it was a magical stay. The Property is so pretty and well managed, the room for 1 is super cute with fair space. The living room area is my ultimate favorite, with the most amazing view ever, sitting there is the most therapeutic thing ever. The breakfast was delicious and consistent, and the lunch that I ordered was traditional and in good quantity. The staff were super friendly and helpful when needed. The property is calm and peaceful, allowing you to rest and disconnect from a busy life. Went to Sidi kaouki beach by a walk from the property, it took me 1 hour to get there, the walk was safe and super enjoyable ( just make sure to wear baskets and have enough energy)

Tricky to get to the property or move around without owning a car. But there are many options .

The staff is friendly and welcoming, Rachida, Fatima, and Hamid made everything possible for us to have a great stay. The view from the terrace is magnificent Breakfast is tasty and you have so many choices Dont hesitate to try tagines made by Rachida, they are the most authentic berber tagines you can try 😍

Beautiful views over the ocean, very clean and well looked after. Incredible breakfast (the best we’ve had in Morocco). Hammam is a great extra touch. Very peaceful with direct access to the beach.

This place exceeded our expectations. It is an incredible and peaceful place on the outskirts of a local village. The people were friendly, and the environmental aspects were nicely considered as part of the accommodation's operations. It was a pleasure to shop in the local village store, where there were no different "tourist prices". The locals were also friendly. There are great natural attractions nearby without the rush of tourists. The nearby village of Sidi Kaouki is also worth a visit. It is a bit dirty in places, but the counterbalance is beautiful nature as in the environment of the accommodation too (waves, sunsets, nearby sand dunes, etc.).

The accommodation is located in the surroundings of a local village, and in the morning, you can wake up to the crowing of a rooster or the braying of a donkey. We liked this authenticity, but if you need to be a better sleeper, feel free to bring earplugs.

Overall package and vibe of the place was superb. Its relaxing, with amazing views and staff.

From the description we expected yacht type toilets. Meanwhile, the client is forced to defecate in a bucket of sawdust and take it to the "compost" located 10 meters from the cottages. "Compost" with human waste?! This is unacceptable for tourists from Europe and in ecological terms in general. A littered beach. For the owner's knowledge. Human excrement is not composted. This requires a process in a sewage treatment plant. It's UNECOLOGICAL. This is environmental devastation!

Amazing place in one of the most beautiful locations we’ve had the privilege of staying in. Everyone involved with this place were very kind and interesting chats with the owner in the mornings over endless coffee. Peaceful and quiet nights under the stars with virtually no light pollution made our stay even more magical. Lovely walk down to the beach and along to Sidi Kaouki for lunch one day. They don’t make enough of a deal about the Hamam and spa pool in the listing which was great to have after the warm days. Superb breakfast too and the evening meal we ordered one night was equally great. Would come back in a heartbeat. 😍 Loved our fisherman’s hut to stay in. So quiet and peaceful at night!

It’s a quiet village which is amazing if you want to get away from it all but without a car - we took a 100dhms taxi from essaouira - it’s limited beyond in that there is one small shop for essentials and one other restaurant - the excellent La Grotte! If this is what you’re after tho it’s perfect!
