"If you are wanting a large modern hotel Casa Donna Carmelo is probably not for you."

If you want to stay in a large soulless hotel Casa Dona Carmela is probably not for you. However if you want to stay in a small warm quirky hotel then it is for you. The included breakfast was fantastic. The rooms are small, but clean and a bit offbeat. They had everything you needed. There were additional facilities in the communal areas such as tea, coffee making equipment etc. Amos, the proprietor also provides an honesty bar containing soft drinks and some beer. He will also give you advice on things to see in the city. The location is great for the tram line which is the best way to travel round Santa Cruz. Most of the cities cultural attractions are less than a 30 minute walk from the Casa. We would return.

Este lugar es maravilloso!!! Su anfitrión es muy amable y sus desayunos exquisitos! Sin duda volveré a hospedarme… Limpieza y comodidad increíbles!!!!! Todo fue muy agradable… ubicación, estacionamiento a muy pocos pasos… no quería volver a casa!

Exceptionell host, very kind and helpful. The place is very clean and you immediately know, that it's run with love. the breakfast was an experience. he consulted us for trips and reserved the taxi to the airport. thank you very much!

The shower is a bit small and the curtain might be improved. occasionally there was no hot water for a short time.
