Clean and tidy

No direct parking outside property

I have stayed at the Apollo Guest House several times. The facilities are accurately and fully described. Good location. Free overnight parking with a guesthouse parking permit in a nearby multi-storey car park. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Good WiFi. Kettle and coffee/tea/milk plus small carton of juice. Friendly owner with good communication. Easy check-in. Very good value. I was given an upgrade for the whole week when the heating in my room did not work. Owner was very helpful, immediately sorting out an alternative room.

Use of a microwave and/or a breakfast option would be good enhancement. The large ground floor bedroom tends to a bit cold in the height of winter.

Everything was nice

it was quiet, I had a steam iron, blow dry and an extra blanket, the toilet and shower were not far away

can't recall anything I was unhappy with

Room was a reasonable size, clean and pleasantly decorated, the sloping floor was quirky. Guest house is close to the train station, and the town centre. The information pack with the history of the guesthouse and local area was interesting. The host was welcoming and parking available nearby. The tea/coffee making facilities were very good.

Shower cubicle was very small with a curtain that stuck to you, water pressure ridiculously low making hair washing difficult. Had to close the windows cause smell of weed coming through (homeless shelter round the corner) and ripped open rubbish sack and in the street causing rubbish to be all over the pavement close to guest house, this is not the fault of the guest house itself though.

What I like about the property was that you could drop of your suitcase early as most place I stayed before Is normally 2 pm

What I like about the property was they supplied iron wash stuff hair dryer too and drinks. The only down fall I thought was they should change the towels cos I was there for two nights and we had to use them two nights when most place change them every time you use them but apart from that the stay was good and quiet too
