un endroit incroyable

Quarto espaçoso e arejado, bom colchão. Café da manhã ok!

A cama tinha um protetor embaixo do lençol que parecia ser de plástico. Fazia barulho e não era agradável. Os travesseiros era altos demais, poderia ter mais opções pra quem não gosta. O chuveiro é ruim. Os jatos saem espaçados pra todos os lados e o controle de temperatura não funciona. Uma das toalhas estava manchada.

Sehr zentral gelegen, man kann Fahrräder mieten, gutes Frühstück, schöner schmaler Garten, obwohl Mitten in der Stadt.

- Tasty breakfast. - Very kind women who work there cleaning and preparing breakfast. They were friendly and pleasant. - Clean beds - lockers in the room - the kitchen

- There were a lot of cockroaches in the area with the toilets and sinks. - I even saw cockroaches in the shower. When I was taking a shower, one cockroach was sitting on the curtain. - One night there were around 10 cockroaches in the sink. - I also found a dead cockroach near the door of my room (not inside the room, but right outside). Another serious issue was the night staff. The male staff members were not friendly and were unable to apologize for their own mistake. Instead, they acted as if I was lying. Before arriving, I informed the hostel that I would arrive in the middle of the night, and they told me they would be waiting for me. However, when I arrived at 3 a.m., the employee did not want to let me into the hostel. He could not speak English and communicated with me using messages from a translator on his phone. He kept telling me that the hostel was fully booked and that there was no bed for me. He refused to look at my Booking reservation and continued saying that the hostel was fully booked and that he could not do anything. After about 15 minutes of “negotiation” through the translator, he finally let me in and found a bed only after I asked him to call his manager. The next day I told another employee at the reception about this situation. He promised to look into it. However, later they told me that I was lying. This situation was very unpleasant. Because of this experience, I would not recommend arriving here late at night, as you might simply not be allowed to enter even if you have a reservation.

De ideale ligging en prijskwaliteit

De jongeman aan de check-in balie was niet de meest vriendelijke. Wij kwamen aan om 14:50 en kregen de melding: mijn shift eindigt op 15:00 dus je zal moeten wachten tot mijn andere collega er is om jullie in te checken. Uiteindelijk na 20 minuten wachten heeft hij ons toch ingecheckt want zijn collega was te laat, heel bizarre situatie.

L’accueil et l’hospitalité du personnel. L’auberge est très agréable, on s’y sent vraiment bien. Dortoirs spacieux et confortable.

La folle du bus qui insulte les gens à 2:00 du matin pour rien.

This was by far the best hostel I stayed at during my time in Mexico. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt incredibly welcoming and cozy, and I immediately felt comfortable there. Breakfast is included and it’s absolutely delicious. They serve traditional local dishes, and the portions are generous and very well prepared. The hostel also has an excellent location. It’s situated in a beautiful central square with food stalls around, and it’s easy to explore the area on foot or by bicycle. Another highlight was the staff, everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. I’m already feeling nostalgic about everything I experienced in Valladolid, and I’m sure that when I return, I won’t think twice about staying at La Candelaria again. Thank you to the entire staff for such a wonderful experience. Sending a big hug from Brazil!

I had a great time there. The hostel is clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
