Excellent staff

The reception staff were very helpful.

Pretty average in most ways. Breakfast was your usual continental fare. Just wish I could have had oatmeal. They had the packets but no hot water. Had to settle for eggs and toast. Very disappointed there was no elevator for 2-75 yr olds with luggage. While the girl at the desk offered to help, I could tell she was busy so I declined. And we lugged it all downstairs ourselves again at checkout. No one seemed to have any information about the Tulip Festival in Pella which I found shocking. It's the biggest event of the year in the area and no one seemed to have much knowledge of it. I was expecting brochures and directions but was left to wing it on our own.

No elevator, put on 2nd floor and not close to elderly father as requested. Bathroom was not impressive, neither were furnishings for amt paid per room.

The service at breakfast stank. The shampoo and soap dispenser were moldy and the paint was peeling from the ceiling in the shower

Overall, this location is fine. There is no elevator on the property, which is odd for new construction. It's only two floors, so half of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. At check-in I was told to call down to the front if there weren't towels in the room. ("They should be there, but I'm telling everyone to call down if they aren't.") Interestingly, we noticed half way through our stay that there is no phone in the room, at least not prevalent. My son found a phone in the nightstand drawer. The second morning (Sunday) we came down at peak breakfast time. It was crowded and there was no hot food available, nor was there any yoghurt or muffins. It seemed everything had been picked clean. No one was in the kitchen area restocking, but I get it, they get busy. We went back to our room and came down 45 minutes later and just missed the end of breakfast. It was our fault for waiting too long to return. However, we did hear comments from staff who were talking amongst themselves about guests coming down after breakfast time and having no business being upset that there was no food; they should have come down sooner. First, conversations like this should never occur in earshot of guests and secondly, some of us only came down late because it was empty during peak times. Overall, an underwhelming stay. We'd likely try a different location next time we're in the area.

The mattresses are old and lopsided and very uncomfortable. There are 4 tiles that were placed with no grout. Not sure why we were not just put in a different room.

Beds and location.

Breakfast is something that needs a lot of improvement. We arrived at 8:40 and there was nothing there. There weren't even chairs for my two kids and me, even though there weren't too many people. After arriving and telling them there was no waffle batter, they did not replenish it. The coffee machine was already empty and no one added more coffee. We left the hotel knowing that we will not return. Better to choose another option without breakfast or another hotel. If breakfast is until 9 o'clock it is until 9 o'clock and there must be food.

Friendly staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed.

Unbelievable!!! This place has NO elevator. How is that even legal!!! We struggled up the stairs. No apology from front desk. This is just bad¡!!!!!!¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????!!!!!!!¡?!!?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
