"Close to town"

Breakfast was the usual low cost staples. Most of Carbondale's attractions and businesses were a drive, instead of a walk. The Rio Grande Trail for walking, running and biking was close by

No room safe for valuables. No elevator to second floor. That didn't bother me, but for some it might.

"Good from start to finish."

Breakfast was fine-- not a lot of options for special diets like no dairy. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was very kind.

This wasn't a hotel problem, but Booking.com 'forgot' to send my reservation to the hotel. Another man was checking in the same time and Booking.com messed up his reservation too. The hotel was fantastic-- they found me a room (even though they were sold out), assured me it wasn't my fault and did everything they could to fix it (and fix the other man's reservation). I appreciate how the hotel was so customer focused and I am VERY disappointed in Booking.com. Book with the hotel directly.

"Very adequate stay and they permitted our dog to stsy with us"

Poor sound insulation We could hear the people in the next room We were told we would have housekeeping on the second night, but found out later that it wasn’t going to happen unless we asked for it. We thought the charge of $40 a day for the dog was high.

This is the noisiest room of any hotel I have ever stayed. I can hear everyone around me throughout the night and the kitchen noise for hours next door.
