Best Western Shallotte / Ocean Isle Beach Hotel

Breakfast, room cleaness, efficient staff.

Hall carpet was so renkled, We nearly tripped several times.

The entry way to the hotel was the first hint. The vinyl flooring was badly marked and worn. The first floor hallway leading to our room was dirty and the carpet badly rippled down the entire length of the hallway; a hazard for anyone with physical disabilities. When we entered our room, we immediately checked for bedbugs but fortunately did not find them. Our room featured an old sock hidden in a worn out orange chair with filthy armrests. The bathroom sink/counter had several sticky drips as did the plastic cover of the tissue box. The shower had soap bar residue that had not been cleaned thoroughly. An empty liquor bottle was left on the floor next to a side table. A large visible gap beneath the door allowed all hallway noises to echo throughout our room. The room earns one star for having beds and towels!

Hotel seems to be below average condition. The price for the room seems to be high for the service and the fact that the hotel no even have a TV service

I like the big rooms. Beds are very comfortable

Tv choices. To many old shows/movies.
