Casa Asti

Tres bon emplacement pr visiter La Vallette, prendre un petit dej typique maltais dans une caffee pas loin, des 7h:30. Tres bon accueil du personnel, la suite familiale etait bien dimensionée pr 2 adultes + 2 ados. Le seul bemol c’est que l’immeuble n’a pas d’ascenseur, nous etions au 3eme et dernier etage.Les escaliers sont etroites, mais c’est souvent le cas à la Vallette (sauf pr hotels mais les hotels sont plus chers). Attention aux moustiques malgrés les moustiquaires à la fenetre (presents des début mai). Prevoir produits si sensibilites moustiques. .

Loved the decor and location is perfect and quiet. There is a bar/restaurant connected with the hotel which was excellent. The waiter who helped us was really friendly and went above and beyond carrying luggage upstairs.

I didn't appreciate that the room wasn't ensuite - our private bathroom (it had its own key) was a long the hall.

Nothing, but would be noisy in high season when the restaurant is open in the evening.

The host and all the staff were amazing. It has taken me over 40 years to return to Malta but, for Casa Asti to emerge from the ruins of a 16th century house, it was definitely worth the wait.

Our room was small and there is no lift but, size is not everything.

Plutôt facile d'accès, Casa Asti est une guesthouse très charmante et bien tenue. Le personnel et la propriétaire sont très agréables, professionnels et accueillants. Bien localisé : à la fois proche des restaurants et des sites à découvrir, et dans une rue calme le soir. La brasserie attenante permet de petit déjeuner, déjeuner ou dîner (pratique). Cette maison traditionnelle maltaise de 450 ans possède également les aménagements modernes (salle de bain, prises électriques françaises, bouilloire avec café, thé, lait et sucre).

La chambre réservée était au 4me étage, ce qui est normal sans ascenseur. Casa Asti étant complète durant notre séjour, il n'a pas été possible de changer de chambre. Nous étions 3 dont une personne de 76 ans avec une mobilité un peu difficile pour qui ça prenait du temps pour monter et descendre. Le personnel nous a toutefois bien aidé à monter et descendre les bagages. Merci pour leur aide.

Très cher car: - Toilettes et SDB dans une autre pièce - Pas de petit déjeuner. - Chambres pas insonorisées Asti dispose pourtant de son propre Coffee Shop

Having to leave the room and walk along the landing to use the toilet/shower.

Central position with easy access to resturants, cafes and Valletta's historical places. Also a quiet street, without live music or parties around.

The pigeons from the window were very loudly, especially early in the morning. There are a lot of pigeons in the area.

Location great, staff very nice

Apart from a towel rail there were no fixtures or fittings in the bathroom, not even a soap dish so we had to put all our toiletries on the floor The previous occupants of the room must have been smoking on the balcony with the doors open because the room smelled of cigarette smoke - infiltrating the bedding / pillows which, as non-smokers we found unpleasant. We didn’t realise until we went to bed and no staff around to tell. No lift so a bit of a struggle with heavy suitcases
