Comfort Inn Layton - Salt Lake City

The breakfast was really good. Nice and hot. The pool was wonderful. The night staff was absolutely amazing. Especially the staff at the front desk. She brought towels to the pool, when we needed them.

I wish that there was More comfortable beds, I didn't sleep well. And the morning front desk lady was not very friendly. And the price was a little too much.

Location was okay. Breakfast mediocre.

The staff was horrible. Check in, horrible. The pool area was filthy, over chlorinated, over crowded and trash from fast food restaurants was left by guests.

Not what was expected by the comments booking.com It had a musky smell as you walked into the rooms hallway etc the front was nice n clean but as you go to the rooms just a nasty musky smell. Did not feel comfortable staying there.

It was not what was stated online, had a musky smell throughout the hotel, and it looked very ran down almost like a trucker motel. Then to top it off I had cancelled previous reservations through booking.com but they did not cancel the room on their end or however it’s done. So I had to argue with the lady about 2 rooms. How it should have been one room etc and they still charged me $100 deposit plus the stay.

Price was acceptable. Online ratings were positive but deceptive.

Front desk personnel carried on a private conversation throughout both check-ins, distracting each other and us. Previous patron's items were found in the room... and sock, chapstick, hair tie causing concern. However, the bedding and bathroom were clean.

Pool, hot tub and workout room were great for the grandkids. They were there everyday. Location was central for the things we did while there. Nothing was more than 40 minutes away.

Bathroom was a bit small.
