Location was conducive to our needs

Nice hotel. The check in was easy with a very nice employee. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a very nice gentleman working at the Bistro who was very helpful. Would I stay here again. Yes !

I made a quick trip to Virginia to see my son before he left on deployment. Wanting to stay near his base, I booked at the Marriott since it had the accommodations I was looking for, such as, free breakfast, a pool for my younger son to swim, and a gym. After looking at many hotels in the area, this one checked off all the boxes. Unfortunately it was not what was advertised. Breakfast was not included in the stay (even though it was advertised as offering a free continental breakfast), the pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. No filter or pump. Just disgusting still water, not to mention the garbage all over. Very dirty. The gym also looked like it was never cleaned. Our bedding had blood stains on it and the room all around was just very visibly dirty. Do not recommend.

I stay at many Courtyards and start with four stars as a base as the hotels are usually pretty nice. Nicer ones get 5, average/poor are rated lower. This one is easily a 3. It is old with lots of wear and tear, even with 'remodeled' rooms. The plank floors are scuffed and gouged, there are gobs of rust stains all around the bath and bathtub, the toilet seat was as loose as my dogs stools, etc. Additionally, the front desk person was as pleasant as a robot could be. The rooms did appear to be clean if you could get around the dated appearance. If I travel in this area again, I will look elsewhere.

Hotel is very outdated and not the cleanest. We were upgraded to a balcony room but the balcony looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The outside landscaping looks like it hasn’t been touched in years. Weeds, dirt, overgrown bushes everywhere. This hotel is not up to Marriott standards. Stay here at your own peril.

Nice quiet property, friendly accommodating staff.

The woman who greeted me on May 5th (pm) was super friendly and a great first contact at the hotel. She was efficient checking me I , and let me know about all the hotel had to offer. The room was clean and quiet. It was a quick overnight but I'd stay at this hotel again.

Stay was comfortable. Staff was kind and helpful.
